BHAIAJI SUPERHIT

I am sure everybody must have formed some kind of opinion about Bhaiaji Superhit after seeing its poster or the trailer. I choose to be neutral about the film only because it stars Sunny Deol and the other reason would be to watch Preity Zinta on big screen. I was very sure that I wanted to watch Bhaiaji Superhit no matter what and I am so glad that the film did not disappoint me.

Bhaiaji Superhit does not have a thought provoking story as such but whatever the story is it is quite entertaining because of its presentation. I would say that for many for us the story may not even approve for a decent Hindi sitcom but Neerraj Pathak has confidence in his craft that he won’t make anything just for the sake of it. I would not like to divulge into the story of the film because that is not something that you enjoy the most in the film. My reason for watching the film is the biggest highlight of Bhaiaji Superhit. There is no way one can’t be impressed by Sunny Deol in this film. Firstly imagining Sunny Deol in a funny avatar is difficult so seeing him do it with such belief is simply wonderful. To add on to the excitement there are two Sunny Deols in the film. One is funny retaining his seriousness but the other one is funny in an altogether different way. Even though the second Sunny Deol is seen for comparatively lesser time he lights up the screen with his quirky character. He is a sheer delight on screen. In short Sunny Deol is the soul of Bhaiaji Superhit.

Preity Zinta who is seen after such a long time on silver screen does not disappoint you even for a second. The best part about her act is her role. Right from her appearance to her manners to her language she has got it all right. You can see a different Preity Zinta and she has done her part with so much conviction. The kind of character she plays could have gone wrong had it been done in an over the top manner but Preity makes sure that it looks real. Even the places where she is required to overreact she makes it look very natural. I enjoyed seeing her on the big screen after so long. Shreyas Talpade who plays a small but an interesting part is surprisingly very good in the film. Whatever scenes he has in the film he makes sure that he is noteworthy in them. Arshad Warsi is being himself throughout the film. We have seen him do this so many times so we don’t mind seeing him again doing the same thing again. Ameesha Patel does not have an interesting role as such but she does her best in the film.

The entire treatment of the film is quite interesting. Neerraj being aware about the weak story of the film he makes sure that he serves his audience a strong dose of entertainment. If you are in a good mood you will enjoy almost every joke in the film. The laughter provided in the film keeps you engaged for most of the time. The film is effortlessly funny to a large extent. Also the poor VFX and terrible action scenes come with a certain amount of conviction in them which is why you are hooked to the film till the end. The entire climax has nothing great in it but you are pretty much engrossed in it. Bhaiaji Superhit may not be the film that would stay with you for a long time or the cult comedy of Hindi cinema but it surely guarantees a good time. Given a chance to watch this one I would recommend to not miss it.
