TUTAK TUTAK TUTIYA

Being promoted as a scary comedy, Tutak Tutak Tutiya is lost somewhere in making people laugh and scare. The film goes nowhere, it’s neither scary nor funny. Initially Prabhudeva tries his level best to keep the audience entertained with his dance moves, which he successfully does but that’s just not sufficient to make the film work. Film hardly offers anything new to audience making them restless for those little more than hundred and twenty minutes.

Tutak Tutak Tutiya has a simple story but it’s least interesting. Like story the pace of the film is also flat. The film do has some selective good moments that manages to tickle your funny bone but they are very rare. It is very difficult to find some good things in the film. Film tries very very hard to be entertaining but ends up being just boring. Performances, music, direction is simply average. Prabhudeva gets his south Indian accent in his dialogues but thankfully that does not affect his performance nor does it bother you. He tries hard to emote genuinely but does not succeed completely. Sonu Sood being the producer of the film could not manage two roles in one film. His presence is hardly felt in the film. Tamannaah is the saving grace. Not that her performance is exceptional but it’s just good to see her dual act. When she changes from one person to another in fraction of seconds, it’s commendable. Music for the film is composed by half a dozen of composers. The songs suit the film and are good enough but only within the film. Not a single song is worth being on your play list. Looking at the other aspects of the film like editing, cinematography, background score, locations etc it hardly gets noticed.

Overall Tutak Tutak Tutiya is that film which can be seen on a lazy day when you are bored to do anything.
