Baar Baar Dekho is refreshing as far as love stories in Bollywood are concerned. Nitya Mehra has a great concept which is executed pretty well. Her execution might not go well with everyone considering the influence of Hollywood on Indian audience. The major concept of time travel makes Baar Baar Dekho an interesting love story.
Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif are the biggest asset to the film. Katrina for a change has given a very genuine performance. Her hard work and dedication to get the character right is clearly visible on screen. The very ordinary Katrina Kaif whom we see in every other film is not be seen here. Sidharth Malhotra might look monotonous as far his act in the film is concerned, but that’s what was expected from that character. He is perfect as the clueless guy and his fans will love him. The look of both the protagonists is noteworthy. The amount of efforts that went in creating the right look is commendable. The supporting cast which includes Ram Kapoor, Sarika, Sayani Gupta, Rohan Joshi, Tahaa Shah suited their respective parts.
Nitya Mehra has told this story in the best possible way. There is repetition of events in the film but they come with a twist. As the film moves it starts becoming predictable but Nitya preferred keeping things simple and enjoyable. Production design of the film is too good. In futuristic sequences the technology part might be tad behind but film does not give a single chance of complaint. Music in the film is great. A must add album to your collection. Editing of the film was good and so was it’s cinematography.
Baar Baar Dekho is a film which falls in a unique category. If you like the film you will like everything in it and will find hard to find any flaws in it. This one is for love stories lovers. If you don’t like it then it is a film full of flaws. I enjoyed it so no flaws for me. I would recommend this one.
