Plus points of Nil Battey Sannata would be its beautiful story, brilliant performances and strong direction. Story would be best enjoyed by watching the film. Swara Bhaskar is powerhouse of talent. Amount of efforts made by her to get this character right are clearly visible on screen. Her dialect, mannerisms are pitch perfect; just at times you see Swara in Chanda which can be forgiven. Riya Shukla fits the part and every teenager will learn a lot from her as her character unfolds. Pankaj Tripathi is the humour quotient in the film. It’s a delight to watch him on screen. Ratna Pathak Shah excels as always. Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s direction makes the film authentic in terms of its overall look and feel. Dialogues are superbly written and bring magic in every single scene. Editing is brilliant; film is just hundred minutes. Music of the film is apt. Soft, sweet and melodious tracks.
Nil Battey Sannata has some questionable incidents in the second half but that seems to be a deliberate attempt made by the makers to avoid monotony in the film. Also the climax is very small and it just gets over within a blink. But then, Nil Battey Sannata is a must watch.
