Fitoor is nothing short of a beautiful poetry on screen. After the mediocre trailer I hardly had any expectations from this one but I was in for a surprise while watching the film. Fitoor will leave you speechless at places and sometimes stunned. Speechless because of the performances and stunned because of the cinematography. Falling short of words to describe the production design of the film.
Fitoor is beautiful because of Anay Goswamy’s jaw dropping cinematography. Fitoor is beautiful because of Abhishek Kapoor’s engaging narrative. Fitoor is beautiful because of Tabu, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and above all the heaven on earth Kashmir. Every single frame of Fitoor is that painting from which you can not take your eyes off. Fitoor with the word go just grabs your attention and does not distracts you with anything. Not a single dull moment in the film. All thanks to Abhishek Kapoor.
Talking about the performances; Tabu the goddess is pitch perfect. Like every other character she owns her character in this one as well. Tabu is the definition of a flawless actress. Aditya Roy Kapoor and Katrina Kaif surprise you with their performances. Katrina Kaif is so good in the film that she does not give you a chance to complain about her acting skills even in a singe scene. Aditya Roy Kapoor proves that he is the right choice as Noor. One more time all thanks to Abhishek Kapoor for bringing out the best from Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapoor. Ajay Devgn in special appearance is just a scenestealer of his two scenes. Lara Dutta and Aditi Rao Hyadri are simply good. Amit Trivedi’s compositions just take the film a notch higher.
Fitoor in second half becomes repetitive, pace of the film goes fast for no reason, the suspense comes and goes in a blink and towards the end it confuses you a bit. But apart from this Fitoor has only and only good things. I recommend Fitoor for its sheer beauty. Watch this and you won’t regret. Wow Abhishek Kapoor you managed to make Aditya Roy Kapoor and Katrina Kaif act so well.
