Perfect example of a very good script with a brilliant message executed poorly. Karan Anshuman wasted a very good opportunity of making a good film. The film had everything; good story, average performances, very good music but the film doesn’t satisfy you at any point as an entertainer. Film is repetition of many events; one same thing is shown twice. Pulkit Samrat and Riteish Deshmukh go through same situations, instead of repeating everything director could have easily merged it which happened rarely in the film. The film fails big time to make you laugh. The jokes are lame and get nothing but a straight face from the audience.
Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat were very mediocre in the film. In fact the film was not such that an actor would get chance to show his acting skills still Pulkit manages to impress with his own charm. Jacqueline Fernandez, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Arya Babbar, Kumud Mishra do their respective parts but are not very impressive. Director seemed like he learned a lot about filmmaking before this film but unfortunately his talent could not make this film entertaining. If some scenes from the film were to be reviewed the review would have been much better. Undoubtedly the film would have looked very interesting on paper but it’s cinematic version wasn’t good enough. Ram Sampath composed some very good songs. In fact the Bangistan album is must add to your collection.
Overall read Bangistan if possible but definitely not worth a watch. Can be seen on satellite once for its beautiful message but not worth spending your money in theatres.
