Zoya Akhtar needs to be applauded for bringing out that side of our daily lives which we conveniently forget and assume everything to be perfectly fine with us. Dil Dhadakne Do is the crystal clear reflection of our life and we can see ourselves in the film. Every single character portrayed in the film is pitch perfect and Zoya has managed to take you in her world keeping everything in the film relatable. Obviously the family in the film is elite and the target audience for the film is strictly rich people but everyone should watch it for Zoya Akhtar. Every single scene make you realize this is how things are on day to day basis and in every family.

Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra are flawless. Priyanka just makes you want more of her in the film. Ranveer is a powerhouse of talent. Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah have owned their respective characters. Not one but so many scenes of Shefali just makes you raise your eyebrows. Anushka Sharma just proves her versatility. She is outstanding. Farhan Akhtar in a special appearance is really special in the film. Remaining supporting cast is too good and perfect in their parts. Zoya Akhtar’s high voltage family drama makes Shankar Ehsaan Loy compositions a bit offbeat. Album is very good but then somehow doesn’t perfectly fits in the film.

Only problem with the film is the climax. Abrupt, disappointing and most importantly makes you feel that something was missing in the film. The last half an hour is typical Bollywood film that has no logic. Its like a masterpiece spoiled by slight carelessness. A meaningful climax would have made the film perfect. Watch Dil Dhadakne Do for Zoya Akhtar and outstanding performance from the brilliant cast.
