Every time there is a revenge drama it is bound to keep you on the edge of your seat making you curious for what’s next. Badlapur is no different, a revenge story like any other Bollywood revenge film. No matter whether it is made by Anurag Kashyap or Sriram Raghavan, the genre is such that the film will make you like it, leaving no other option for you.
Badlapur has everything that a good film needs. Simple story which is executed well, a good director who brings out the best from his actors, minimum music and very strong background score that takes the film on a different note (all credit to Sachin-Jigar). Badlapur needs to be seen for all these factors and for the all new Varun Dhawan with deadly Nawazuddin Siddhiqui.
Varun is good in the film because of his amazing performance which he needs to keep it up in his future films. Nawazuddin like always never fails to deliver a power packed performance and overshadow his costars. Rest all the actors in the film Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam, Vinay Pathak, Kumud Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar have small part in the film and do justice to their respective roles.
Sriram Raghavan, man behid Ek Haseena Thi and Johnny Gaddar is back in form with Badlapur. He deserves the credit for this ordinary film which successfully stands out from other films in the same genre.
I would recommend this film for the simple reason that it is good and worth your money. No matter how many similar films in this genre you have seen in the past and liked them still watch this one because you can not afford to miss this one.
