Hawaizaada is a story of an Indian who was the first person to fly in an airplane. No doubt it is a story that needs to be known by every Indian but the storytelling of the film was not up to the mark. Film had good production design to give the film perfect look of nineteenth century. Film had decent performances from Ayushmann Khurrana and Mithun Chakraborty. Music was decent.

Every single positive thing in the film had some flaws. Music was decent but it was too much. Too many songs making the film look more like a music video. Performances were decent but were performed half heartedly. Ayushmann Khurrana had a different character to play but did not do cent percent justice to his character. Same scenario with Mithun Chakraborty. Pallavi Sharda looked as if she is acting in her debut film (which indirectly is). Production design was good but over the top. If the film was fiction then the sets suited the film but unfortunately that was not the case. Same scenario with the costumes especially the women’s department.

Film is good in bits and parts but fails to impress. Film focuses too much on the love track making the entire film uninteresting due to which the film looks lengthy especially first half where everyone is waiting for the interval. Would say watch it at your own risk. Little good, little bad hence this rating.
