After making a path breaking film Dombivali Fast, Nishikant Kamat is back in Marathi industry with his latest offering Lai Bhaari. Unfortunately Lai Bhaari comes nowhere close to his previous Marathi and Hindi films. The film has nothing, that is relevant in today’s world. Neither the story nor music nor the execution of the film. Second half of the film looks like a diluted version of R…Rajkumar or any other bad commercial masala entertainer. The first half of the film looks like some trashy Bollywood film which did not even see Monday in theaters. The pace of the film is very slow and to top it up the film is close to 160 minutes. First half of the film has nothing to offer and you just wait for the interval but unfortunately nothing better happens post interval also. Music by maestro in Marathi music industry, Ajay-Atul is very disappointing. Not even a single song in the film that you will remember when you leave the theater. Background score of the film is equally bad. Nishikant Kamat’s direction is very weak. The film not at all looks like directed by him. Performances are completely avoidable. Riteish Deshmukh in first half is similar hat he is in Bollywood. In second half he performs slightly better but the boring film does not allow you to notice his performance. Tanvi Ami is wasted and so is Sharad Kelkar in a negative role. Both the leading ladies have nothing to offer in terms of acting. Radhika Apte looks hideous in the song where she seduces Sharad Kelkar.
After trying very hard could not find a single thing about the movie that is good or saves the film from being so bad. This one is not at all recommended. Salman Khan’s cameo is of no use, as you are bored you do not find that also interesting. A huge disappointment from talented Nishikant Kamat.
