Shaadi Ke Side Effects (SKSE) is nothing but a comical way that presents the side effects of a marriage. It is a lesson to be learned for people who are going to get married and experience of just or recently married. The film can be easily related by all the couples no matter how old are they and by those enjoying their teens or are very young, in short the film can be enjoyed by each and everyone who is not in school. Saket Chaudhary has nailed it with the concept and most importantly executing the concept so beautifully. First half of the film is like filled with laughter and the performances just make it exceptional. Second half starts pretty well but few over the top typical filmy sequences spoils the film a bit, but overall impact of the film is great. Once you exit, you say wow beautiful film and that’s the victory of the film. Film lives up to your expectations and you get your money’s worth.

Farhan Akhtar just leaves you speechless. All the adjectives will fall short to describe his performance in the film. Post Bhaag Milkha Bhaag he has improved drastically and proved that no matter what genre the film is but he gives his best shot and makes sure that his each and every shot is nothing less than a winning six. All the other super talented actors fall flat in front of him. Vidya Balan, the one woman army sort of lost her prominence in his presence. Her performance is brilliant but not as good as her previous performance. The role did not give her a chance to perform something new it was a typical housewife role which he performed nicely. Vir Das needs a special mention for his not so special appearance in the film. He is the scene stealer of all his scenes. Ram Kapoor is good but same his TV soap performance. Good performance but Farhan Akhtar takes the cake in this department. Music is very much enjoyable and the best part is songs are perfectly incorporated in the film. You are in mood to listen some song and there is a song in the film. Less than half of the tracks from the album but all good ones and apt to the situation. Good job by Pritam. Editing of the film was perfect in the first half could have been better in the second half. Cinematography and dialogues also are good.

Overall  thoroughly enjoyable film. This can be called  perfect date film even though Valentine’s season and month is over. Farhan Akhtar fans are in for a royal treat. Go and just have fun, enjoy yourselves and have a great time. This one is highly recommended, but if rom-com is not your type then stay away from it.
