Punjabi Wedding Song
, we have heard bits of it in the trailer but the entire song is like a typical Vishal-Shekhar song or typical bollywood film wedding song. Sunidhi Chauhan’s vocals are quite impressive but then the song overall gives a very ordinary feeling. Not catchy enough. Clearly lacks innovation, efforts are visible but not impressive enough. Shake It Like Shammi
starts of very well with good blend of 70’s and today’s music. Very nicely use of instruments and Benny Dayal vocals make it sound better. The composition of this song has managed to retain the magic of songs of golden era. Good work by the composer duo. Drama Queen
sung by Shreya Ghoshal is full on dance number and Shreya’s voice and fast paced composition along with enjoyable lyrics makes this song one of the best in the album. This one can be completely enjoyed in a dance mood. This one keeps your expectations alive from the composer duo. Manchala
is a typical Shafqat Amanat Ali song, slow tune with mediocre paced composition. Nothing novel in this track especially from the composer duo who gave amazing slow songs like Bin Tere and Aas Paas Khuda. Their previous tracks in similar genre makes this one sound below average. Zehnaseeb
is one more slow track that again retains your confidence in the composer duo. Slow paced but beautifully composed and sweet vocals of Chinmayi Sripada along with meaningful lyrics makes you keep this song on repeat mode. Ishq Bulavaa
the only song which gives some innovation from this composer duo. This one is again a slow number but definitely worth listening again and again especially for those who enjoy listening slow romantic numbers. Sanam Puri has done a pretty impressive job. Here he proves his versatility post ordinary track in Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. The vocals of Shipra Goyal are good as well.
Overall okay okay music of the film, Vishal- Shekhar has done pretty impressive job. Slightly better than their last film. They have tried to do something different which will still retain their style and succeeded in it. The overall album sounds pretty average maybe because of the genre of the film or may be the composers. Hear it once just for the composers efforts, on the whole decent album with few good songs and few ordinary ones.
