The film is divided into two parts, good and bad. Good is the first half and bad is obviously the second half. The film looks like same so called rom com and it is a rom com but bit different from others. Punit Malhotra has found a way to do things differently but in his own way. First half is typical boy and girl story. Sriram (Imran Khan) and Diya (Kareena Kapoor Khan) totally opposite in nature first fight and eventually fall in love then again get separated and then by the end of the film again come together. Punit’s execution of first half deserves an applaud because he and his audience knows what the story is yet he made it in a way that it looks different and entertains you thoroughly. In short simple story told beautifully and with innovation.

Bad part the second half is not at all in sync with the first half. Yes a little connection from the first half that lead to the further story but it looks like an altogether different movie. Diya comes to a remote village and Sriram follows her to win her love. More than love story it becomes a TV serial where hero tries to save the villagers by not allowing the village head to build industry and all that stuff. The love is missing here and the romantic song does nothing here. The focus is completely away from the main protagonist. The amazing characters from the first half are totally missing in the second half.

On the whole Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is a decent fare. Performances of the main protagonist are not performances but they seem to be doing what they do in their every other film. Shraddha Kapoor is good to watch and as she is only the first half of the film one of the reason for first half being so good. Music is good to hear in the film but the album is a big no. Direction is good in first half and you really feel the Punit Malhotra has become a genius with his second film but you change your opinion in the second half of the film. Very good first half rather flawless first half and a below average, rather bad second half makes this film a decent watch, rather watch it at your own risk.
