Marathi film industry is growing at a rapid pace just because of the films it is offering to it’s audience. Love stories is a very common subject to make a film upon, but the way how differently you execute your love story needs to be seen. Mangalashtak Once More (MOM) is a beautifully presented love story with a touch of reality to it.
The most important thing that goes in favour of this film is the practical approach of the director to present his story and the characters of the film to which everyone could relate to. Mukta Barve is the most talented actress of the Marathi film industry. Her character is good and she has done complete justice to it. She is always one of the main reason to watch her film no matter who is her costar. Sai Tamhankar is like a surprise package in the film and again a brilliant performance, as beautiful as Duniyadari. Swapnil Joshi was pretty ordinary. Music of the film is again a plus point of the film. Very few songs and the beautiful lyrics of Guru Thakur make the film more meaningful and nicely takes the story forward. The opening credits of the film are perfectly done. Those black and white close up pictures of lead actors and the amazing song is very impressive.
Somewhere or the other the film reminds you of other films in the same genre but the overall impact of the film manages to make this film different from the others. Some brilliantly written and directed scenes which make you feel for the characters is where the director wins his battle. Mukta Barve, Sai Tamhankar performances, the director’s vision, relatable characters and soothing music of the film makes this film a must watch.
